First off, the body can hold up to 5 liters of blood. Do you know the organ that pumps all this blood. The heart. the most powerful organ in the whole body. The heart pumps the same amount of blood through out your whole body as the jug full of water up there. That jug is about as tall as a 10 year old. The circulatory system is made up of three different systems
Hashimoto's Disease
Large numbers of white blood cells called lymphocytes accumulate in the thyroid. Lymphocytes make the antibodies that drive the autoimmune process. Auto immune means that the body attacks its own cells. The Hashimoto's disease causes your thyroid gland to be attacked by these white blood cells. Thanks to messages from the immune system, these cells attack and damage your gland. The thyroid gland produces an important hormone, needed for brain development. Symptoms of this disease include a slowed heart rate.
